Primary Key Responsibilities (Top 3-5 KRA)
- Ensure complete and accurate posting of transactions to the general ledger and the related accounting systems.
- Month end journals for accruals and recharges
- Complete reconciliation of bank accounts, control accounts. Ensure differences are investigated and resolved.
- Ensure complete and accurate posting of transactions to the general ledger and the related accounting systems.
Additional Responsibilities :
- Production of monthly financial accounts.
- Ensure complete and accurate posting of transactions to the general ledger and the related accounting systems.
- Provide clarifications / information to auditors on Financial Information.
- Ensure operation of agreed financial controls including all relevant reconciliations in accordance with SOX requirements.
- Produce information for tax, and statutory reporting.
- Plan and schedule work to meet deliverable time lines
- To demonstrate a positive risk, compliance and control culture through the identification, assessment, monitoring and management of risks and issues within the business area, alongside ensuring timely and appropriate resolution of control weaknesses, actions and failures that arise
Knowledge Skills (Must Have) :
- Excellent knowledge of Excel (advanced) and PeopleSoft.
- Strong communication skills, both oral written
- Time Management and Workload Planning Skills
- Good interpersonal skills.
Knowledge Skills (Additional) :
- Knowledge of Word and Powerpoint
- Technical accounting knowledge- IFRS.
- Exposure to Fund accounting and accounting and valuation of financial instruments.
- Commercial awareness/Product knowledge
Experience:
- Inter CA with 2-3 years of work experience
- Newly Qualified Accountant
Educational Qualification:
Post Graduate in Finance, Part Qualified/Qualified Accountant
