JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, plan, and execute NVH testing for engines, transmissions and drivelines on bench and conduct vehicle-level assessments.
Lead the setup and execution of NVH tests to evaluate performance of powertrain in different operating conditions.
Analyze test results to identify NVH issues, prepare detailed reports and present findings to engineering teams and stakeholders.
Work closely with design, calibration and product planning teams to provide NVH insights and support optimization efforts.
Execution of advance projects and studies for NVH improvement on source.
Interact regularly with Market Quality, New development quality and Engineering Design Departments.
COMPETENCY REQUIRMENTS TECHNICAL /FUNCTIONAL
Relevant work experience in Powertrain (engine, transmission) NVH testing.
Hands on experience in using sensors for NVH measurement (mic, accelerometer), rotation fluctuation measurement, combustion analysis and data loggers (e.g. LMS/Siemens, Dewesoft) for NVH testing.
Understanding Powertrain systems which includes Engines (ICE, alternate fuels), Transmission (Manual, AT, AMT, DCT)
Skills in using Siemens Test Lab, FAMOS, B&K Connect, PUMA, any other test bench automation software.
Understanding of advanced NVH techniques e.g. Noise source localization, ODS, Order tracking and analysis, torsional vibration analysis.
Experience in operating Anechoic/Semi anechoic chambers for engine, transmission gears testing
Valid Driving License and satisfactory driving record.
Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment as well as be self-motivated for independent work.
Flexibility in handling multiple projects and changing priorities.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical/Automobile/Production/Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 60% marks
3-8 years of experience
