Job Summary:
We are on the lookout for a Power Platform Power BI Governance Administrator with a robust background in Power BI development and a foundational understanding of Microsoft Fabric. The successful candidate will be responsible for the governance of our Power BI global platform, the development of BI solutions, and the integration of Fabric capabilities. This role involves defining and implementing governance policies, managing tenant settings, developing interactive dashboards, and leveraging Fabric to enhance data integration and analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and enforce BI governance policies and procedures.
- Configure, deploy, and manage elements of the BI governance strategy.
- Monitor and report on Power BI resource usage and user access.
- Establish tenant and environment-level Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies.
- Manage users, capacity, and licensing within the Power BI environment.
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Transform raw data into meaningful information to inform strategic business decisions.
- Provide support and guidance for Power BI users and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with IT and business units to align BI governance with organizational goals.
- Understand and integrate Microsoft Fabric capabilities to foster a well-functioning data culture across the organization.
- Assist in the deployment of Fabric's data integration, engineering, and real-time analytics experiences within the Power BI environment.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Power BI and governance practices in a BI environment.
- Experience in managing Power BI or similar BI tools.
- Strong understanding of data governance and data management principles.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with various teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform administration.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Entra and environment strategies.
- Proficiency in establishing and managing Microsoft Dataverse environments.
- Proven experience as a Power BI developer, creating data-driven solutions and interactive dashboards.
- Expertise in data modeling, analysis, and visualization.
- Basic experience with or understanding of Microsoft Fabric, including its integration and analytics capabilities.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience:
- Proven experience in a BI governance role or similar position.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI development, including data preparation, data warehousing projects, and familiarity with Microsoft BI stack (SSAS, SSRS, SSIS).
Certifications:
- Microsoft Power Platform or Power BI certifications are a plus.
