Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity develop and enhance complete and sizable software modules in the assigned software engineering function in one or more of platform and application management. Each day, you will execute assigned design and development activities focused on building solutions in an efficient and cost-effective manner and in accordance with quality standards. You will also showcase your expertise by providing curate project schedule estimates and ensures their successful completion within the deadline.
The work model for the role is: - Onsite, # LI- Hybrid
This role is contributing to the ABB Services in Bangalore.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- 5+ years Business Intelligence experience, of which 3+ years in developing and implementing enterprise-scale reports and dashboards using Power BI
- Experience working with multiple data source and working with import mode, direct query and composite models.
- Experience building advanced data models and optimizing existing ones.
- Work with finance and business teams to gather and review requirements, coming up with effective solutions based on available options
- Provide business application and data modelling design to collect, standardize, maintain, monitor and audit business data for effective centralized data warehouse
Performing a variety of software engineering tasks in the assigned area of software development, software quality engineering, software testing, DevOps, cybersecurity, software release,, and maintenance, and/or release management, with limited supervision.
Contributing to the software development lifecycle that includes requirements, conceptualization, prototyping, design, coding, testing, release, and subsequent maintenance and operations.
Owning and driving highly structured and maintainable code and deliverables with right amount of documentation.
Identifying and categorizing different user personas for the platform and applications, with the aim of tailoring and defining the user experience, user interface, navigation, and workflows to suit their respective roles.
Qualifications For The Role
- Expertise with PBI dashboard performance tuning, RLS in PBI, Power query scripting in PBI and SQL basic scripting knowledge
- Expertise with PBI services, access management and gateway setups
- Create interactive dashboards and reports through Power BI and other BI tools
- Support acceptance, governance, resource management and performance of the Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehousing (DW) applications
- Degree in Analytics, Engineering, IT, Computer Science
