Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Power BI Developer to join our analytics team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing and implementing interactive reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI. You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their reporting requirements and deliver data-driven insights that support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain interactive, user-friendly reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.

Work with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data visualization solutions.

Design data models, build queries, and implement data transformation processes using Power Query and DAX.

Integrate data from various sources (SQL Server, Excel, cloud-based platforms, etc.) to create comprehensive reports.

Optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for performance, scalability, and usability.

Automate data refresh and distribution processes for reports and dashboards.

Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reports and dashboards.

Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure and efficient data access.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues with reports, data, and dashboards.

Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI best practices and usage.

Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and industry trends to continually improve reporting solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Strong experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.

Proficiency in Power Query, DAX, and M language for data transformation and modeling.

Experience integrating data from various sources such as SQL Server, Azure, Excel, and cloud-based platforms.

Ability to design interactive, visually appealing, and insightful dashboards and reports.

Solid understanding of data visualization best practices and principles.

Experience with Power BI security features (row-level security, user access management).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Good understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and database management.

Familiarity with version control tools like Git for report version management.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with other Microsoft BI tools such as SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).

Knowledge of cloud-based Power BI data models and Azure services (Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL).

Power BI Certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate).

Experience with scripting or automation tools for report management.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
