Job Title: Power BI Developer
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer (3 to 5 years) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data visualization and reporting solutions using Microsoft Power BI. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, and other team members to understand data requirements, build interactive reports and dashboards, and provide actionable insights to drive informed decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Understand business requirements to set functional specifications for reporting applications.
- Should Have strong SQL Programming Skills, like prompt, select, where, and aggregate, complex report level filters and contexts and complex SQL queries and joins involving case statements.
- Should be adept at using Power BI to create reports and dashboards, perform data exploration, and manage datasets on Top of SAP HANA, SAP BW & other applications.
- Exhibit a foundational understanding of database concepts such relational database architecture, multidimensional database design.
- Design data models that transform raw data into insightful knowledge by understanding business requirements in the context of BI.
- Should have a good understanding of data visualization principles and best practices to present data in an easily understandable manner.
- Familiarity with Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) for creating custom calculations.
- Optimize data models and reports for performance and scalability.
Implement data security and access control measures to ensure data privacy and compliance.
Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI tools and reports.
Awareness of BI technologies (e.g., Sap Analytics Cloud, Tableau & Qlik)
Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Data Sphere etc.)
Qualifications:
- Extremely good communication skills are necessary to effectively explain the requirements between both internal teams and client teams.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
