nJob responsibilities:
- nDevelop visual reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards using Power BI desktop
- nConnect to data sources to import data or consumption using Direct Query, and transform data for Business intelligence
- nSemantic model development using star schema model with in-depth understanding of table relationships
- nAnalytical thinking for translating data into informative reports and visuals
- nExperience in unit testing for data reconciliation from data source, semantic and report layer
- nImplementation of row-level security on data with comprehension of application security layer models in Power BI
- nOptimize semantic models and reports for efficiency and performance
- nMigrate and redefine data sources and semantic models as needed
- nIntermediate to advanced experience with creation of DAX queries in Power BI desktop
- nExpert in using advanced-level calculations on the semantic model
- nCreation and use of Power BI Data Flows to create semantic models
- nUnderstanding of Power BI query folding to support incremental refresh and direct query
