Research Area: Tissue Adhesives and Drug Delivery

Qualification & Experience:Doctorate (PhD/MD/MS) or equivalent in Chemistry or Biomaterials. Preference will be given to candidates having experiencein polymer synthesis and characterization as well as culture of mammalian cells and routine cell biology techniques, as demonstrated by research publications.

Candidates who have submitted their thesis are also eligible to apply. However, such candidates must submit their provisional/degree certificate within six months from the date of appointment.

Duration: Initially for one year(with the possibility of extension of another year based on the satisfactory performance).

Fellowship: Rs. 67,000/ per month+ House Rent Allowance (as per Institute rules).However, the candidates who have submitted thesis and the award of PhD Degree /

provisional degree is awaited, they will be paid reduced fellowship of Rs. 35,000/- per month plus HRA. On submission of PhD degree, full fellowship of Rs. 67,000/- plus HRA shall be restored effective from the date of award of PhD degree / provisional degree.

Leave& OPD facility:The IPDFs will be entitled for leaves and OPD medical facility as

applicable to the PG students at the Institute, as laid down in the PG Manual.

Medical facility:It will be mandatory for the IPDFs to have a medical insurance policy

(minimum of Rs. I lakh) in their name which should be valid throughout the period of his/her Fellowship. No medical reimbursement will be admissible.

Duties: Besides research work, the selected IPDF is expected to assist in teaching course(s),

in accordance with the requirement of the Department.

Accommodation: No accommodation will be provided to the IPDFs.

General conditions:

No interim enquiries/correspondence/communication of any sort will be entertained.

Mere fulfilling of eligibility criteria will not entitle any candidate to be called for interview.

Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview.

Applicants must attach scanned copy of Ph.D. Degree certificate OR Ph.D. Thesis

submission receipt, if the Ph.D. Degree is yet to be awarded.
