Role:
The Senior Plumbing Design Engineer is tasked with designing plumbing and fire-fighting systems for both new and existing projects. This includes the full scope of PHE system design, covering concept creation, design development, and tender documentation (such as technical specifications, BOQs, schedules, and drawings).
Responsibilites:
- Key responsibilities include assembling documentation packages and producing drawing sets for review by engineers or architects. The engineer will also research, design, and document PHE components to align with client requirements, whether for large-scale or smaller projects.
- The role involves preparing and reviewing BOQs, tender specifications, and drawings. Collaboration with other disciplines, including structural and architectural teams, is required to ensure the integration of PHE designs with other systems.
- The engineer will also attend client meetings, give presentations, and visit project sites for construction observation.
- The engineer will perform quality reviews for 2D/3D models and PHE deliverables, as well as review construction submittals to ensure compliance with contract and design intent.
Qualifications and Skills
- BE/B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering with at least 10 years of experience in building services design.
- Proven experience in PHE design, with knowledge of both Indian and international standards and compliance codes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, design software, and Excel.
- Self-motivated with strong communication, presentation, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
