The Goodyear Tire and Rubber company is seeking a motivated individual to design, develop, and deliver integrated PLM software solutions to internal customers in support of business needs. You will work with a cross-functional and cross-continental group of software developers and engineers who are creating, enhancing, and supporting PLM applications that are key to the Goodyear design community. The software engineer will design and develop software solutions within these critical systems.
The candidate will evolve as part of a global software development team which implements RD IT solutions to support the tire design and manufacturing processes in different design centers and many manufacturing plants globally. The quality of our service is ensured thru our implementation of industry standard ITIL practices.
Primary Responsibilities:
- You will perform application design and development for a key business PLM application(s).
- You will perform DevOps release management and incident managemt following ITIL framework.
- You will troubleshoot and develop technical solutions to problems involving causes that are not obvious.
- You will maintain, modify and support sub-system or 3rd party components.
- You will perform tasks necessary to ensure data integrity and system stability.
- You will complete unit testing of all work processes.
- You will work according to requirements that are developed through collaborative efforts with the business design groups.
- You will adhere to the software development lifecycle.
- You will communicate with project management, leaders, architects, and stakeholders.
- You will check if the precedents are unclear, you must obtain advice from higher-level IT associates.
- You will write and maintain all documentation supporting primary area of responsibility.
- You will Investigate emerging technologies.
Job Requirements:
- You must have Bachelors degree in in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or related field.
- You must have minimum 2-3 years of experience developing with C++.
- You must have experience with scripting languages like SQL, Batch scripting, PowerShell or equivalent
- You have at least experience with DevOps toolchains like Azure, Jira, Selenium or equivalent.
- You have at least experience with modern CI/CD toolchains such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent.
- You have at least experience with code repository such as SVN, GitHub, or equivalent.
- You have at least experience with REST/SOAP APIs, HTML, CSS, JSON JavaScript, or equivalent.
- You have experience with Java desired but not required.
- You have experience with Dassault Syst mes SmarTeam and CATIA V5 desired but not required.
- You have experience with Siemens Teamcenter desired but not required. Regular work in CET time zone hours. Willingness to conduct changes outside of the business working hours.
