Solution Development:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy ABAP programs, enhancements, and customizations to support PLM processes.
Collaborate with functional teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.
Implement and maintain user exits, BADI (Business Add-Ins), and enhancement spots to extend standard SAP PLM functionality.
Create and modify custom reports, forms, and interfaces to facilitate data exchange and reporting.
Data Management and Integration:
- Ensure seamless integration between SAP PLM and other modules, such as Materials Management (MM), Production Planning (PP), and Document Management (DMS).
Develop data migration and conversion programs to facilitate smooth data transfer between legacy systems and SAP PLM.
Collaborate with integration teams to establish data interfaces with external systems or partners.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
- Provide technical support to end users and resolve ABAP-related issues in the PLM module.
Analyze and troubleshoot program errors, performance bottlenecks, and data inconsistencies.
Collaborate with Basis and functional teams to optimize system performance and ensure high availability.
Documentation and Training:
- Document technical specifications, coding standards, and development processes.
Prepare user guides and training materials for end users and technical teams.
Conduct training sessions to educate users on new functionalities and enhancements.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and best practices in ABAP development and PLM processes.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization to enhance PLM capabilities.
Participate in regular meetings and workshops to discuss enhancements and gather feedback from business stakeholders.
