Job Description for Senior Playwright Automation Engineer (4+ years experience)

Responsibilities

Automation Tests and Framework Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust tests and automation frameworks using Playwright / Selenium for end-to-end testing across multiple browsers

Test Framework Maintenance: Maintain and enhance test automation frameworks to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability.

CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and deployment within the development workflow using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Bitbucket Pipelines.

Version Control Management: Utilize version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage code changes and collaborate effectively with development teams.

Test Strategy and Planning: Develop comprehensive test strategies that include functional and regression testing to ensure application quality. Able to write test cases to thoroughly test complex systems Required Skills

Proficiency in Playwright: Strong industry level experience with Playwright for browser automation and testing. Familiarity with its features such as parallel execution, context isolation, and multi-browser support is essential.

CI/CD Tools: Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.

Version Control Systems: Extensive knowledge of Git for version control. Experience managing branches, pull requests, and code reviews is crucial.

Programming Languages: Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript is required; familiarity with other languages supported by Playwright (e.g., Python, Java) is a plus.

Testing Methodologies: Strong QA skills and knowledge of QA basics, understanding of various testing methodologies including unit testing, smoke, regression, integration testing, and end-toend testing. Experience with test-driven development (TDD) or behavior-driven development (BDD) is advantageous.

Prior experience with Mobile Apps automation is a plus but not mandatory

Debugging Skills: Strong debugging skills to troubleshoot test failures effectively using tools like Playwright Inspector or browser developer tools.

Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts clearly.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues, troubleshoot issues, and propose effective solutions
