Job Title: Platform Engineer
Location: Bangalore-Manyata Tech Park

Business & Team: The Network Engineering team is responsible for delivering network requirements and implementation to achieve business outcomes. The GTS Networks team is responsible delivering, supporting and continuously improving the Bank's Global Network and Security services.

The purpose of this role is to provide sound input and engineering design, implementation and support in order to drive excellence, quality and performance for an IT service, across one or multiple portfolios. The Platform Engineer (Network) is required to effectively build and maintain relationships with: Senior managers, Solution Designers, Network and System Engineers, Project Delivery teams and third-party vendors that provide technology services for the group.

Roles & responsibilities:

Network Engineering:

. Manage escalation of technical issues from suppliers, operations and application teams

. Author implementation plans and configuration of network security changes into CBA's network services and devices and execution of changes outside of regular business hours

. Mandatory knowledge and demonstrated experience of Cisco Switches (Nexus and IOS), Routers and Firewalls.

. Establishes networking environment by designing system configuration and directing system installation.

. Desirable experience in F5 LTM and DNS VMWare NSX, and Azure/AWS network security group enforcement policies and firewall management.

. Discovery and validation of network performance requirements using enterprise tools such as Algosec, vRealise Network Insight, Splunk, Azure VSTS, and AWS VPC flow logs, R53, Cloud redirect and CloudFront, SolarWinds, Qualys, and Infoblox.

. Contribute to the documenting of current infrastructure services.

. Experience with design & deploy SD-WAN solutions across Palo Alto, Check Point & Cisco.

. Experience with Zero Trust Network Access and SASE model.

. Demonstrated understanding and design of core switching and routing technologies such as VXLAN, VPN, BGP, EIGRP, IPSEC, and, OSPF. Understanding of corporate technology processes e.g. ITIL

Application, Integration and Infrastructure

. Work with project teams to understand network connectivity.

. Understanding of integrating to public cloud infrastructure such as AWS and Azure, and hybrid cloud network integration.

. Ensure all services within the IT service portfolio are managed with consideration to network, capacity, platform, sociability/scalability factors and target architecture

Essential skills:

. Minimum 5 years of IT network experience

. Experience with technology in a large organization.

. Experience in IT design, implementation, operation and management

. Specialized knowledge of development and design methodologies

. Network scripting and automation tools such as Ansible, Python, NSO, Yang, Terraform, JSON Script (Good to have)

. Be familiar with Zero Trust Network Access and SASE model (Good to have)

Education Qualification: Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology.
