Job Title:Platform Engineer
Location: Manyata Tech Park, Bangalore

Roles & responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business analyst, development, testing and architect teams, to design and build critical business applications.
• Design application logical database requirements and implement physical solutions
• Develop back-end database code to support business requirements
• Review stored procedure code written by other developers
• Lead the technical design process
• Design and implement database mechanisms for data integration in the enterprise
• Troubleshoot and resolve, in conjunction with Operational DBAs, database application issues across production, test and development environments.
• Performance tune applications from a database code and design perspective
• Advise business owners on strategic database direction and application solution design
• Knowledge of and ability to discuss NoSQL database mechanisms and usage
• Confident in project financial considerations and their implications

Essential skills:

• 5+ year's recent experience as a database development specialist on Oracle RDBMS 11g (12c exposure advantageous). Recent experience on Microsoft SQL Server desirable.
• Advanced PL/SQL development skills.
• Advanced tuning skills in a high-volume Oracle enterprise database
• Excellent Linux and scripting skills
• Exposure to NoSQL databases

Education Qualification:Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
