Platform Engineer

About:

Amagi has several years of rich experience in offering end-to-end solutions in the Broadcast arena. Amagi's flagship cloud playout platform Amagi CLOUDPORT - enables broadcast and streaming TV to launch and manage broadcast-grade live, linear channels on a Pay-as-you-go model. Using a simple web UI, one can achieve the following: Ingest media files in multiple formats, manage media libraries.

Cloudport is being offered either as a Managed service on Amagi's cloud accounts or as an Enterprise service on customers cloud accounts. The Cloudport Platform engineering team which is part of the Infrastructure Engineering group (IEG) is responsible for provisioning the infrastructure required for cloudport suite of applications and services. The team also partners with other IEG teams to identify and customise solutions that can deploy new cloudport releases, upgrade cloud infra services and monitor infra, applications/services of cloudport.

Requirements

A software engineer(Python/Go) at heart who has the technical expertise of

1. creating IaC(pulumi) for
2. deploying (ArgoCD) and
3. monitoring(Prometheus/Grafana) that software on to an infrastructure(Kubernetes) in the cloud(AWS/GCP/Azure).

• 2+yrs of experience in deploying applications and managing Kubernetes clusters. Certifications like CKA, CKAD will be an added advantage.
• 2+yrs of experience in clouds. Associate and above level certifications in AWS/GCP/Azure will be a plus.
• 1+ yrs of experience in building or managing infrastructure in AWS/GCP/Azure using IaC (terraform/cloudformation/pulumi).
• 2+ yrs of coding experience in Python or a high level language like Golang/Java

Prior knowledge of building Prometheus/Grafana dashboards will be an added advantage. Your key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Design, Delivery and Operationalization of core platform components using Infrastructure as Code(IaC).
• Collaborate with the development and product team to simplify infra creation, deployment of services/applications and management of such deployed apps/services across multiple clouds.
• Work with Dev teams to identify and implement log / metrics aggregation to monitor both provisioned infra and the deployed app/service.
• Work with other teams in IEG to implement zero downtime upgrades in customer and Amagi cloud accounts.
• Delivery with Agile processes, maintaining a Product Backlog, Scoping of stories in Backlog, Sprint Planning and execution.
