Job Title: Plastic Engineer (moulding, making knowledge foam, & material science knowledge)

Key Requirements
- Should have strong technical knowledge on Plastics Design and Development process.
- Strong knowledge of various plastic material, its properties and application.
- Should be able to identify various plastic material through visual or any other mode of inspection.
- Should have fairly good idea about the various surface finishes and texture on various plastic material and how it could be achieved.
- Responsible for New Product Development Cycle from product design to delivery which involve conceptualization of the product, Engineering drawing, Specification, Process design, Packaging and verification & validation of the product.
- Responsible for Plastic design in Solidworks.
- Should able to support plant for build issues & extend engineering support for Quality issues resolution
- Complete knowledge of mould design, various moulding methods and know how of mould flow analysis
- Troubleshoot issue and critical manufacturing parameters through 3D prints.
- Assist with new part design by influencing design, provide tooling estimates, provide material suggestions, participate in risk analysis, help to coordinate drawings, Be able to analyze and provide information regarding cost reduction and quality improvement opportunities.
- Assist/Lead Product Development Team meetings (suppliers, designers, engineers, imperatives, parts list, validation, manufacturing, supplier quality)
- Analyze tooling and equipment and select proper steps for solution and troubleshooting.
- Proposes and evaluates manufacturing process and equipment for designed part.
- Works closely with production and suppliers to ensure timely completion of projects
- Maintain good professional relations with vendors and suppliers.
Skills
- Should be well versed with plastic material manufacturing primary and secondary processes e.g. injection moulding, extrusion process, thermoforming, printing, sealing, lamination, etc.
- Capable of the process of material finalization of product
- Strong exposure in new product development cycle.
- Interpersonal analytical skill
- Good communication verbal and written.
- Should have been proficient in computer software i.e. MS office, Auto CAD, Solidworks, etc.
- Should have been worked in QMS environment.
