Working Days: 6 days per week
Role Description:
NowPurchase is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations in our Processing Unit. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in production management, with strong technical and leadership skills. They will ensure smooth operations, cost efficiency, and adherence to safety and quality standards while managing inventory, manpower, and plant security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily production activities, including production planning, scheduling, and manpower management.
- Maintain efficient inventory levels and ensure uninterrupted production flow.
- Implement and supervise plant security, safety protocols, 5S, Kaizen, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with the other stakeholders to control operations costs and achieve production targets.
- Conduct vendor management, including negotiation and coordination with contractors and logistics teams.
- Ensure accurate tracking and reporting through MIS, manage production schedules, shift rosters, and oversee cost management efforts.
- Drive continuous improvements in production processes and ensure minimal downtime and zero breakdowns.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience: 5+ years in Operations Management within a manufacturing setup (experience in Steel, Metal, or Metal Scrap industries preferred).
- Education: B.Tech in Mechanical/Production/Electrical Engineering Preferred.
- Gender Preference: Male

- Production Management: Strong skills in production and maintenance management, plant operations, and inventory control.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and familiarity with account management tools and MIS reporting.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with senior management, labor teams, vendors, contractors, and logistics personnel.
- Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams, manage manpower, and promote a collaborative work environment.
- Cost Management: Skilled in operational cost control, budget management, and maximizing cost efficiency.
- Planning & Scheduling: Ability to develop production schedules, shift rosters, and manage end-to-end operations.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in production planning, plant/factory management, logistics coordination, and manufacturing operations.
- Familiarity with manpower handling, basic plant maintenance, and operational planning for high-efficiency production.
- Industry Preference: Candidates from Steel, Aluminium, Sheet Metal, Metal Scrap, or Manufacturing backgrounds are highly preferred.
