Plant Head

OKRs

Plan, direct, organize, coordinate, and control all the functions of the unit. Plant Head

will collaborate with executive leadership, oversee various departments, and focus on

optimizing overall plant performance. The incumbent will play a crucial role in decision-

making, continuous improvement and foster a culture of safety and efficiency within the

plant.

Deep technical knowledge and full understanding of plant operations which would include

Furnace, Rolling Mill and Sponge Iron operation. He would be responsible for proper

upkeep and maintenance of plant, adopt safety practices, maximise production, control and

reduction of cost, manage and control wastage, overall optimisation of facilities and

maintaining proper relations with local authorities and government bodies.

1. Manpower planning and labor management

a. Setting and monitoring key performance indicators and operational metrics

b. Talent hiring, training, motivating, and evaluating overall performance of plant staff

2. PPC, including productivity improvement capabilities

a. Responsible for ensuring that the plant meets its production goals, quality standards,

safety regulations, and budget.

b. Developing and implementing operational strategies and policies for the plant

c. Analyzing and optimizing production processes and workflows

d. Managing and resolving operational issues and risks

e. Reporting and presenting operational results and recommendations to senior

management

3. Maintenance & Store Management

a. Coordinate and supervise the activities of different departments, such as engineering,

maintenance, production, quality control, human resources, and logistics.

4. QMS & Documentation

a. Implementing and maintaining quality management systems and certifications

b. Negotiating and managing contracts and agreements with vendors and customers

5. ESG and EHS

a. Ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards and

government regulations

6. Innovation and continual improvement

a. Systems and process automation

7. Communicate with external stakeholders like customers, suppliers, regulators, and

investors.
