Plant Controller (Finance)

Role- DGM-Finance Controller

Qualification- CA ( Must)

Exp- 12 -15 years of experience in Plant or Operations Finance Controller

Experience in Pharma or chemical manufacturing will be preferred

The role entails maintaining control over the operations of the plant through financial due diligence and oversight. It involves getting an understanding of the production process, identifying & applying necessary controls at all areas that are likely to cause a financial loss or other forms of loss to the organization and measuring appropriate outcomes in terms of costs of production. Additionally, need to oversee the day-to-day accounting operations in

terms of bill booking, appropriate accounting for provisions, costing and timely monthly closures.

Key Points:

i. Manage and execute day-to-day finance operations of the plant in the form of bill

approvals, provisions, costing and monthly closures

ii. Draw up the budget for the plant on an annual basis at the time of the annual business

plan keeping in mind past performance, areas of expected improvement and initiatives that are

underway

iii. Maintain tight control on the spends and production efficiencies of the plant by constantly

measuring PR/PO/Spends vs budget as well as previous trends. Highlight where losses have been incurred

or deviations taken from the plan

iv. Oversee and continuously evaluate the allocation of costs for arriving at variable costs as

well as various cuts of plant profitability

v. Oversee overall financial health of the plant in terms of propriety of spends, inventory

maintenance + usage, finished goods storage and quality outcomes

vi. Partner with various stakeholders at the Plant and HO to ensure right communication and

execution of deliverables towards day-to-day operations, monthly closures and reviews

vii. Ensure all compliances from a financials standpoint with respect to tax and laws of the

state

viii. Work with internal audit team as well as initiate action on their own to stress test the

control procedures at the plant

ix. Review and oversee the execution of capex proposals at the plant both at the time of

implementation and after completion to ensure right outcomes
