Job Overview
Mid-Level Piping Designer with 4 to 10 years of experience. This full-time position is based in Gurgaon, Haryana, India.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Piping Designer with 4 to 10 years of experience in industrial projects.
- Proficient in using piping design software such as PDMS.
- Strong knowledge of piping design codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, API, etc.).
- Familiarity with equipment and materials used in piping systems.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in design work.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in piping design.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design and develop piping layout and systems for industrial projects in accordance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and documents related to piping design.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and resolve design issues and ensure accuracy of design drawings.
- Perform calculations, simulations, and analysis to determine the feasibility and performance of piping systems.
- Select appropriate materials and components for piping systems based on project specifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety codes, regulations, and quality standards in piping design.
- Estimate project costs and provide input on project schedules and timelines.
- Participate in project meetings and effectively communicate design ideas and recommendations.
- Provide support during the fabrication, installation, and testing of piping systems.
- Keep up to date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in piping design.
