We are seeking a skilled Piping Designer proficient in Auto Plant 3D to join our dynamic team. As a Piping Designer, you will play a crucial role in the design and layout of piping systems for industrial plants, ensuring accuracy, quality, and adherence to project specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize Auto Plant 3D software to create detailed 3D models and layouts of piping systems.
- Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Prepare piping drawings, isometric drawings, and piping plans for construction and fabrication.
- Perform clash detection and resolution to ensure interference-free piping systems.
- Generate material take-offs and assist in procurement activities.
- Conduct site visits and surveys to gather information for designs and resolve field issues.
- Adhere to industry standards, codes, and regulations in all designs and drawings.
- Participate in design reviews and coordinate with other disciplines for integrated design solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior designers and drafters
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Piping Designer or similar role in industrial plant projects.
- Proficiency in Auto Plant 3D software (previous experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D preferred).
- Strong knowledge of piping design principles, practices, and standards (ASME, ASTM, ANSI, etc.).
- Ability to interpret P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) and other technical documents.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications or training in piping design and Auto Plant 3D software is a plus.
- Experience with project management software and familiarity with project workflows.
