Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Piping Design Engineer to join our team at Avis Enertech Pvt Limited. As a Piping Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing piping systems for various projects in the Oil and Gas industry. This is a mid-level position requiring 4 to 6 years of experience. The position is full-time and based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 4 to 6 years of experience in piping design for the Oil and Gas industry
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks
- Knowledge of piping design codes and standards (ASME B31.3, API 650, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design and develop piping systems according to project requirements and industry standards
- Prepare detailed engineering and construction drawings using CAD software
- Perform piping stress analysis and ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including process engineers, structural engineers, and project managers
- Assist in the selection of materials and equipment for piping systems
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure accurate implementation of design
- Resolve any technical issues or challenges that arise during the project
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers
