Job Title: Physical Literacy - Master TrainerThe Physical Literacy - Master Trainer plays a crucial role in advancing the understanding and implementation of physical literacy across various educational and recreational settings. This individual will lead training sessions, workshops, and coaching clinics, ensuring that physical education professionals have the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to foster physical literacy among students and participants. The role involves curriculum development, program evaluation, and collaboration with other educators and stakeholders to promote lifelong physical activity and well-being.
Training and Development:
- Design, develop, and deliver training programs focused on physical literacy for physical education teachers, coaches, and other educators.
Conduct workshops, seminars, and certification courses to improve the delivery of physical literacy programs.
- Provide ongoing mentorship and support to trained professionals, ensuring they maintain high standards in their teaching practices.
Curriculum and Program Design:
- Develop and refine physical literacy curricula, incorporating the latest research and best practices in the field.
Collaborate with educational institutions, community organizations, and other stakeholders to customize physical literacy programs to meet diverse needs.
- Program Evaluation and Improvement:
Assess the effectiveness of physical literacy programs through observation, feedback, and data analysis.- Provide recommendations for program improvements and adaptations based on evaluation results.
Advocacy and Leadership:- Advocate for the importance of physical literacy within educational and community settings.
Serve as a thought leader in the field of physical literacy, staying updated on industry trends and research.Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with school administrators, community leaders, and other stakeholders to promote physical literacy initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of program participants, ensuring clarity and engagement.
Education:- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Sports Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in physical education, sports coaching, or a related field.
Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs.
- Experience in mentoring and leading teams is an asset.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of physical literacy concepts and their application in educational and recreational settings.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate others.
Proficient in curriculum development and program evaluation.- Strong organizational and project management skills.
Certifications:- Relevant certifications in physical education, coaching, or training are highly desirable.
Ability to travel as required for training sessions and workshops.
