Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and experienced WordPress Developer to join our software development team. As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality WordPress websites and plugins. Your expertise in WordPress customization, theme and plugin development, and strong problem-solving skills will be crucial in delivering exceptional web solutions to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients and project stakeholders to understand their website requirements and objectives.
Design and develop responsive and visually appealing WordPress websites using industry best practices.- Customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet client specifications, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
Perform website updates and maintenance, including bug fixes, performance optimization, and security enhancements.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the website's functionality across different browsers and devices.
Implement SEO best practices and optimize website performance for speed and search engine rankings.- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in WordPress and web technologies to suggest innovative solutions.
Provide technical support and guidance to clients, addressing their queries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the design and UX/UI teams to ensure a visually appealing and user-friendly website experience.
Document and maintain project-related information, including code documentation, user guides, and technical specifications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience as a WordPress Developer, with a strong portfolio of WordPress websites and plugins.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, with a solid understanding of web development principles.
Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development, including custom post types, custom fields, and APIs.- Familiarity with front-end frameworks, such as Bootstrap, and responsive design principles.
Knowledge of SEO best practices and website optimization techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in WordPress and web development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with e-commerce platforms, such as WooCommerce.
Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git.- Familiarity with website security best practices and vulnerability scanning tools.
Understanding of UX/UI principles and the ability to create visually appealing designs.
