Overview
The PHP Developer plays a crucial role in the organization by developing and maintaining web applications and ensuring their seamless functionality. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality web applications using PHP and MySQL
- Design, develop, and maintain efficient and reliable PHP code
- Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
- Create and maintain software documentation
- Implement secure and user-friendly interfaces for web applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Perform code analysis, requirements analysis, and troubleshooting
- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends
- Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle
- Assist in technical support and troubleshooting
- Contribute to team discussions and decision-making processes
- Follow best practices and coding standards
- Conduct peer code reviews
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven work experience as a PHP Developer
- Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks such as Laravel, CodeIgniter, etc.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Experience with front-end technologies, including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Understanding of MVC design patterns
- Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages
- Experience in common third-party APIs (Google, Facebook, etc.)
- Understanding accessibility and security compliance
- Knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming
- Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
- Understanding of continuous integration and deployment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and in collaborative team environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
