Job Description

  • To identify the patient before performing a collection.
  • To screen and collect blood from the patients.
  • To collect the correct amount of blood for the ordered test.
  • To label the collection correctly.
  • To choose the appropriate collection equipment.
  • To transport lab specimens responsibly.
  • To communicate and interact effectively with patients and other medical professionals.
  • To apply laboratory terminology to lab procedures.
  • To understand and practice ethical behavior.
  • To get training as and when needed.
  • To maintain documentation and records.
  • To make patients comfortable during the procedure and to monitor vital signs.
  • To maintain the integrity of the sample and collect an adequate amount.
  • Should be comfortable doing a home visit.
  • Should have a bike.
