Job Description
The SEM Manager is responsible for efficiently managing paid search campaigns tailored for enterprise-level clients. This role operates under the supervision of the Director, Paid Search, and collaborates closely with various cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, conceptualize, and implement SEM strategies to meet client objectives.
- Conduct tests, gather and analyze data, and identify emerging trends to optimize ROI in paid search campaigns.
- Monitor, evaluate, and interpret website analytics and PPC initiatives to refine campaign strategies.
- Control campaign expenses, adhere to budgets, forecast monthly expenditures, and reconcile any discrepancies.
- Optimize ad copy and landing pages for enhanced performance in paid search engine marketing campaigns.
- Continuously conduct paid keyword research, expansion, and optimization.
- Research and analyze competitor advertising strategies and links.
Requirements
- Demonstrable success in managing SEM campaigns, particularly PPC campaigns across major platforms like Google, Facebook, Yahoo, and Bing.
- Proficiency in performance marketing, conversion optimization, and online customer acquisition.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in search engine marketing.
- Thorough understanding and practical experience with bid management tools.
- Familiarity with website analytics tools such as Google Analytics, GTM, NetInsight, Omniture, and WebTrends.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate insightful SEM reports.
- Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and limitations.
- Previous experience in the education industry is preferred.
