About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Performance Engineer to join our team. You will have the opportunity to explore cutting edge open source and proprietary technologies. You will develop analysis and visualization tools for application and network performance. You will conduct performance analysis of large complex systems and work across engineering teams to identify creative solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain performance monitoring and alerting solutions at scale
• Monitor and respond to trends in Production workload performance before they become a problem
• Analyze site performance to identify potential bottlenecks, scalability issues, and other potential areas of improvement.
• Collaborate across engineering and infrastructure teams to identify creative solutions to improve performance, the customer experience and reduce infrastructure costs.
• Develop scripts to automate performance and capacity-related tasks.
• Create and update operational processes in collaboration with team members.
• Document performance processes and best practices

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• You are curious about how and why things work the way they do.
• You have experience with performance characterization, analysis and tuning of applications at web scale.
• You have experience in scripting languages and a familiarity with best practices for performance and capacity management.
• Experience in Networking, Windows/Linux/Unix, and Virtualization technologies
• In addition to technical acumen, the successful candidate must possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment. Contract Parameters
