Position Summary
The role of the Senior Application Support Engineer, PeopleSoft is to provide exceptional support for mission-
critical PeopleSoft applications as part of our global Application Managed Services support team. The position has
the responsibility for -
Develop and enhance the Admissions, Student Records, Student Portal, Financial Aid and Student Financials
modules and its related interfaces of the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions for the University
Involve in the support and maintenance of the above mentioned modules by performing analysis, problem
solving, debugging, testing and deployment
Involve in the development of new changes for the student system and Student Portal developed in Campus
Solutions 9.0 by performing activities such as conducting business process analysis, requirement gathering,
design, development and deployment to meet the growing needs of the University
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Work with users to on the PeopleSoft Enterprise Campus Self Service 9.0 ,PeopleSoft Enterprise Gradebook
9.0 , Peoplesoft Enterprise Service Centre for Higher Education , Admissions (Undergraduate, Masters and
Postgraduate) and its related interfaces in Integrated Student System. This includes conducting feasibility
study, requirements/ functional gathering, development/deployment, data conversion/ mapping testing
and technical support. Experience in above modules with Fluid user interface are also preferable.
Involved in the support and maintenance of the above mentioned modules after the
modules/enhancements went live by ensuring that the issues and support meet the agreed service levels
Assist in the development of new changes by working with users to identify/understand requirements,
design, develop and deploy the solutions based on the standards, procedures and policies set by the
University
Perform SQL queries and use data base tools to examine table structures, indexes, and other database
objects with minimal guidance, meant for consumption of other BI platforms
Document business user processes and create specifications for coding systems or programs including the
data sources to be utilized
Perform functional testing and coordinate full system testing with users to ensure results meet program
specifications
Write program documentation describing program logic and steps required to develop projects
Perform configuration changes to address application security considerations
Evaluate complex customer issues using methodical troubleshooting based on expert knowledge
of PeopleSoft applications functionality
Develop an action plan to resolve issues, either directly or through promotion to our Product Support Team

Provide hands-on assistance to end users via remote client connectivity or collaborative web meeting
Work closely with end users on a daily basis to understand their needs, support business change and deliver
a consistently high-quality customer experience
Replicate reported issues as needed for troubleshooting
Provide new or modified application configuration to resolve incidents
Advise end users and junior coworkers on application functionality and capabilities
Recommend changes to training based on incident volumes and trends
Design and document new or modified existing reports (BI Publisher, Crystal, etc.), trees, workflow,
interfaces, pages, etc.
Thoroughly document change requests, test results, and approvals
Develop test scripts for new/changed application capabilities
Be a pro-active contributor to a support organization which is running 24x7x365, this will require the ability
to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays and monitoring email regularly outside
standard business hours
Collaborate with team members in a virtual team environment to extend field experience to different client
situations
Contribute to the development and management of knowledge-sharing methodologies, diagnostic tools,
and creative processes, to improve the client experience

Education
Bachelor's in Business Administration, Computer Science or other related field, or equivalent work
experience
Experience
6+ years relevant hands-on experience as a consultant or production support provider, specifically in
PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
A track record of successful roles in several PeopleSoft implementation or upgrade projects, or as a
production support provider
Deep working knowledge and understanding of support business processes
Skills
Broad expertise in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9.2 and below
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tactfully resolve conflict
Ability to be persuasive and influence customer relationships in a positive direction
Strong grasp of PeopleSoft principles
Ability to multitask, managing competing priorities and administrative tasks
Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
French language communication skills (verbal and written)
