Job Description

We are a startup within the RPSG ecosystem aiming to become a global player in the modern Ayurvedic wellness space. We have already gained significant experience in this domain with our Ayurveda brand called Dr Vaidya's. Our immediate objective for is to launch multiple wellness products across India, US, and Europe. After that, we plan to blitzscale and become aggressive in our growth journey, aiming for a revenue of 1000+ Cr ARR within 3-4 years of launch.

To achieve our ambitious goals, we are looking for a self-starter and hustler who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty and get into execution. We need someone who can take ownership of this function from day one and become one of the leaders of our growth journey. The ideal candidate should also be able to build and lead large yet agile teams on this mission.

Our objectives are to build the largest global D2C brand out of India, positively impact the lives of people dealing with chronic conditions or on a wellness journey and do so with holistic natural solutions using clinically proven ingredients from Ayurveda, as well as Chinese and herbal sources. We have stable funding backed by one of India's largest business houses with a $7Bn asset base and an unrivaled track record of profitable growth.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the end-to-end onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a seamless transition into the company. Manage all joining formalities, including the collection and verification of required documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements related to HR operations, including labor laws, employment contracts, and employee rights.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in employment legislation and implement necessary updates to company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and submit compliance reports to government agencies as required.
  • Maintain and update employee records in the HR information system (HRIS) with a high level of accuracy.
  • Support the HR team with administrative tasks such as preparing HR documents, managing employee files, and responding to HR inquiries.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory regulations.
  • Coordinate with the Finance team to ensure timely disbursement of salaries and manage payroll discrepancies.
  • Maintain payroll records and generate reports for internal and external audits.

Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Work Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in HR operations, with a focus on onboarding, compliance, and payroll.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and HRIS systems; advanced Excel skills are a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
