Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Operations, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in management consulting, an operations-related function, or equivalent field or 8 years of experience with an advanced degree in business, accounting, or finance.
- Experience managing multiple cross-functional projects, identifying and implementing process improvements or supporting implementation or transformation projects.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with Payroll, Accounting, Finance, Tax or Risk/Compliance principles.
- Ability to shift between strategic and tactical approaches with ease.
- A strong collaborator and skilled communicator, including ability to influence stakeholders, vendors, and international teams to achieve shared objectives.
- Strategic problem-solving, communication, analytical, and influencing skills.
- Proven leadership skills in coordinating cross-functional collaboration and initiatives.

The Finance Operations team manages Google's cash transactions on a global basis and ensures that Google's incoming and outgoing cash processes are controlled, effective and efficient. As a member of this team, you'll find innovative ways to manage our complex set of transactions. You'll make processes more efficient and scalable, work to ensure the highest level of quality of our operations, and proactively minimize operational risk. Externally, you collaborate with our extended workforce partners and internally, you will collaborate across the multiple areas of the Financial Operations team.

Responsibilities
- Manage Google's India payroll operations, including partner oversight and urgent issue resolution. Manage payroll vendors, contribute to payroll-related projects and provide subject matter expertise.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve complex payroll compliance and operational issues, minimizing risk and enhancing the employee experience. Analyze payroll processes, identify improvement areas, and develop metrics to measure effectiveness.
- Perform essential payroll controls and tasks, including variance analysis, compliance filings, year-end processing, audit responses, and system access management.
- Adapt to the ongoing evolution in our operating model, vendor landscape, tools and overall financial systems caused by external dynamics, our changing size and automation efforts.
- Manage payroll operations specialists directly or indirectly to deliver payroll services and represent Google India entities to PF offices in terms of physical visits on edge cases as applicable.
