Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Patient Guidance and Education:
  • Explain medical procedures, treatment plans, and diagnoses in a clear and empathetic manner.
  • Educate patients about pre- and post-treatment care requirements.
  • Assist patients in understanding medical terminology and instructions.
  1. Emotional Support:
  • Provide counseling to address patient fears, anxieties, and concerns related to their health or treatment.
  • Support families dealing with critical or terminal illnesses of loved ones.
  1. Facilitating Communication:
  • Act as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers to ensure clear communication.
  • Help patients formulate questions for doctors and clarify medical advice.
  1. Administrative Assistance:
  • Assist patients with insurance claims, medical paperwork, and financial planning for treatments.
  • Provide information on available resources, such as support groups or financial aid programs.
  1. Care Coordination:
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Advocate for patients by addressing barriers to care, such as transportation or language difficulties.
  1. Monitoring and Follow-Up:
  • Track patient progress and check in regularly to assess their emotional and physical well-being.
  • Provide referrals to therapists, social workers, or community resources when necessary.
