Job Title: Patch Testing and Manual Testing Specialist
Location: Bangalore (Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 days remote)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Patch Testing and Manual Testing Specialist with experience in Python and Windows operating systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive patch testing, manual testing, and writing Python scripts to automate testing processes when needed. The role will be a hybrid model with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote work, offering a balanced work-life environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform patch testing on Windows operating systems to ensure stability and security.
- Conduct manual testing to identify bugs and ensure software quality.
- Collaborate with development teams to define testing strategies and ensure patch compliance.
- Write and maintain Python scripts for test automation to enhance testing efficiency.
- Document test cases, defects, and outcomes, ensuring detailed and accurate reporting.
- Work with cross-functional teams to analyze and resolve issues found during testing.
- Provide support for troubleshooting and debugging issues on Windows environments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in patch testing, manual testing, and automation with Python.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and patch management tools.
- Proficient in writing Python scripts for automation.
- Familiarity with manual testing methodologies, tools, and defect tracking systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills to collaborate with global teams.
Preferred:
- Experience in Agile environments.
- Knowledge of testing tools like Selenium, TestRail, or similar.
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools and processes.
