- Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) / Paramedics:Respond to emergency calls and provide pre-hospital care to patients
- Assess the patient's condition and administer basic life support or advanced life support as required
- Transport patients to medical facilities, ensuring their safety and well-being during transit
- Medical Laboratory Technicians:Collect, process, and analyze patient samples (blood, urine, tissues) to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
- Ensure accuracy in test results and report findings to medical professionals
- Radiologic Technologists:Perform diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs
- Position patients and equipment for accurate imaging
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during radiation exposure
- Pharmacy Technicians:Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications
- Manage inventory and order supplies
- Provide information to patients about medications and potential side effects
- Physiotherapists / Physical Therapists:Assess patients physical condition and develop treatment plans
- Administer therapeutic exercises and techniques to improve mobility and relieve pain
- Educate patients on self-care and preventive measures
- Occupational Therapists:Help patients develop or regain the skills needed for daily living and working
- Create rehabilitation plans to address physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care
- Speech-Language Pathologists:Assess and treat speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans for patients with speech or swallowing difficulties
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide holistic care
- Dietitians / Nutritionists:Assess patients nutritional needs and develop dietary plans
- Provide counseling on nutrition and diet modifications
- Work with other healthcare professionals to address overall patient health
- Respiratory Therapists:Assess and treat patients with respiratory disorders
- Administer respiratory treatments and therapies
- Educate patients on proper respiratory care techniques
- Nursing Assistants / Nursing Aides:Assist registered nurses in providing basic patient care
- Monitor patients vital signs and report any changes
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing and feeding
