Position Summary:

The Ansible + Packer Engineer will be instrumental in automating and streamlining our AWS infrastructure to support healthcare applications and services. The role involves using Ansible for configuration management and Packer for building machine images, ensuring our infrastructure is secure, efficient, and compliant with healthcare regulations.

#### Key Responsibilities:

- *Infrastructure Automation:* Develop and maintain automation scripts using Ansible for configuration management and Packer for creating machine images tailored to our healthcare environment.

- *AWS Infrastructure Management:* Deploy, manage, and optimize AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, etc.) to ensure high availability, security, and performance.

- *CI/CD Implementation:* Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment and update processes, ensuring continuous delivery of applications.

- *Security and Compliance:* Ensure infrastructure complies with healthcare industry regulations (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH), implementing best practices for security and data protection.

- *Monitoring and Performance Tuning:* Implement monitoring solutions to ensure the health and performance of infrastructure components, and perform optimizations as necessary.

- *Collaboration and Support:* Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and functioning of systems.

- *Documentation:* Maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure, automation scripts, and operational procedures.

- *Experience:*

- 10+years of experience in DevOps, System Engineering, or a related role.

- Proficient in using Ansible for automation and configuration management.

- Experienced with Packer for creating and managing machine images.

- Strong expertise in AWS services and architecture.

- *Technical Skills:*

- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.

- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform.

- Strong understanding of network security practices in cloud environments.
