What You Will Do:
The Packaging Lead is responsible for supporting routine packaging activities for existing products in the market and leading efforts to address packaging challenges. The role involves innovative problem-solving for cost improvements, drawing conclusions from packaging material tests, and leading documentation efforts, including specifications, artwork approvals, and work instructions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Packaging Changes: Oversee changes in packaging for existing marketed products, including primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging development.
Supplier Development: Lead efforts in supplier development for business continuity, re-siting, and new supplier introduction.
Mold Qualification: Perform qualifications of copy molds and refurbished molds.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to modify packaging, including label and artwork development for Import & Sale products.
Technical Investigations: Actively participate in and document technical investigations while managing administrative responsibilities.
Packaging Trials: Conduct packaging material trials and qualification tests, completing all required reports.
External Engagement: Engage external service providers, consultants, and testing labs, ensuring timely completion of outsourced activities.
Authorities:
Approve procedures, trials, and validation documents.
Approve specifications and artworks.
Approve Material Gate Passes.
Release Purchase Requisitions in SAP and E-Marketplace.
Create, review, and approve Non-conformities, CAPAs, and Audits.
Qualifications
What We Are Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
Graduates from Packaging School or equivalent with at least 10-12 years of experience in the industry.
Experience with packaging materials such as HDPE, LDPE, PP, bottles produced in EBM/IBM, and LDPE/LLDPE packaging film used in FFS machines, laminated tubes, laminated films, etc.
Desired Qualifications:
Ability to brainstorm ideas and discuss them within the team to address complex technical issues.
Structured approach to packaging material qualification and documentation.
Strong professional and personal ethics.
Demonstrated leadership in developing, leading, and inspiring teams.
Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and data management skills.
Innovation and out-of-the-box thinking.
