Job Description:
Reporting to the Regional Procurement and functionally the respective GCM, you bridge between the regional team and the global strategy. In close alignment with the GCM, you manage all strategic procurement aspects (spend, cost reductions, vendor management, working capital, risk management, sustainability) of the respective regional category.
Key tasks:
- Identify, execute, realize cost reduction measures for the respective Region or as assigned by GCM
- Identify and develop new suppliers for existing and new raw materials
- Build the bridge between regional needs and global category strategy; influence the needs of the region in the category strategy while executing the category strategy in the region
- Define, align, implement regional sourcing strategies for the respective categories together with the Cross functional teams
- Following functional lead by the GCM
- Complete supply agreements / terms of supply with favorable conditions in terms of pricing and supply security
- Conduct risk assessment for the regional category and define clear mitigation action plan
- Recommends acquisition of strategic inventory /VMI for the region
- Keep abreast of and monitor procurement of market pricing trends of keys raw materials and feedstock, pertaining to the category in the region
- Manage supplier performance, Vendor On boarding and compliance for respective category
- Provide input for monthly report with market update, price development, key initiatives, problems and achievements
- Driving sustainable sourcing agenda for regional category
- Manage purchasing process in compliance with business strategy and sustainability requirements
- Lead and support Internal and External Audits ISO, Responsible Care etc.
- Approve PO/ Contracts in accordance with the set DoA Value
- Clarify monthly major PPV for respective category
Profile
- Degree from Indian Institue of Packaging and IMDG Certification with 10 to 15 years experience.
