About the RoleThe Packaging Senior Designer role involves collaborating on the creation, development, and execution of packaging design for a luxury brand. This position supports the Head of Design in all stages of the process, ensuring a high-end aesthetic. The designer must balance budgetary and timeline constraints while upholding brand standards.
Must Have Skills:- Strong print production knowledge
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Packaging Designer
- Must be from a FMCG, eCommerce or beauty company
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
Key Responsibilities:- All phases of primary, secondary and promotional package design from concepting, comps to final packaging
- Laying out artwork in dieline
- Color review of drawdowns, BATs, proofs
- Package componentry review
- Design Turnovers (DT0s) of package designs to cross-functional teams
- Good understanding of label & mono carton printing with knowledge in substrates and product development.
Ideal Candidate:- At least 2-4 years of package design experience, beauty, FMCG, ECommerce industry
- Passionate in product and graphic design; always seeking to grow and learn
- Highly motivated and self-starter
- Strong written and verbal skills to communicate ideas to both creatives and non-creatives
- Proficient in Adobe software Illustrator, Photoshop;
- Strong print-production knowledge (dielines, bleed, color modes, live area, etc)
- Thrives in a team environment, contribute ideas and interact with cross-functional partners
- (Marketing, PCD, Production, Artwork Management)
- Manages well in a high-volume and fast-paced environment
