SS&C is the largest global investor service provider, servicing more than 55 million investors. Continually investing in global technology and services across the spectrum of distribution channels including: Asset Managers, Financial Advisors, Wealth Managers and large financial institutions such as Banks and Insurers. Investor servicing is offered in many different countries, including the U.S., Canada, U.K., Ireland, Luxembourg, Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore. SS&C also services mutual fund structures in many other fund domiciles.
Global Investor and Distribution Solutions (GIDS) is the business unit offering this role. GIDS delivers global omni-channel investor servicing, including contact centre, using digital services.
About The Role
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join the Apollo MI Reporting team, the India based role enjoying a flexible Hybrid working model. Apollo is a lean and highly effective team, leading the development and execution of core reporting for various GIDS clients over our Wealth Management platform, Bluedoor. The successful candidate will be working within a global team (mainly based in the UK, India, and Australia) to provide a best in-class suite of reports and foster a winning culture, with both internal stakeholders and external clients. The role will operate with considerable freedom and autonomy.
Your Responsibilities
- Work with Business Operations and Technology teams (e.g. Business SME's. Architects, Developers, Testers) to perform business analysis, process analysis, business system design and business systems consultancy to support SS&C change, our clients business models and strategic/new business propositions.
- Create business requirement documents or user stories and acceptance criteria, process models and design specifications to support the development, enhancement, testing and delivery of IT systems.
- Facilitate or lead meetings for the above.
- Collaborate with and support the project team to ensure timely delivery throughout requirement gathering, design, development, testing and the overall lifecycle of the project.
- Plan, track and communicate status of assigned workload to wider team, project and delivery management.
- Help to identify opportunities for process improvements.
Your Experience
- Between 2 5 years proven Business Analysis experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively and influence optimally at all levels of organisation.
- Proactive with a solid sense of ownership and accountability for tasks.
- Ability to muti-task, work in a fast-paced environment and to enforce to strict timelines.
- Basic SQL skills or their equivalents required.
- Working understanding of differing development methodologies e.g. Waterfall & Agile.
- Experience of project delivery and requirement management tools e.g. JIRA / Confluence.
- Experience within the UK Platform / Wealth Management industry a distinct advantage.
- Masters or Bachelor's degree with 2 years experience, preferably in an IT / Business discipline or a number of years of Finance industry experience.
