Summary:An OT Attendant supports the smooth operation of the Operating Theatre by preparing the room, maintaining a sterile environment, and assisting the surgical team. This role ensures patient safety and efficient workflow.
Roles and Responsibilities:- Preparation and Maintenance:
- Prepare and maintain the OT with necessary equipment and supplies.
- Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment.
- Support During Procedures:
- Assist the surgical team with instruments and supplies.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Post-Operative Care:
- Clean and restock the OT for the next procedure.
- Help transfer patients to and from the OT.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain records of instrument and equipment usage.
- Assist in inventory management.
Qualifications Required:- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certificate or diploma in a relevant field preferred.
- Prior hospital or clinical experience is advantageous.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
Skills Required:- Knowledge of surgical instruments and sterile techniques.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
