Overview
As an OT Assistant at the eye hospital in Jogeshwari East, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Occupational Therapist and supporting the overall rehabilitation process for patients with eye-related conditions. Your work will directly impact the quality of care and the patient's overall experience at the hospital.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Provide support during therapy sessions and exercises
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including dressing and grooming
- Help maintain a clean and organized therapy environment
- Document patient progress and report to the Occupational Therapist
- Monitor and maintain therapy equipment
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Offer emotional support and encouragement to patients during therapy
- Participate in training and educational sessions to stay updated on best practices
- Adhere to all hospital and therapy department policies and procedures
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Licensure or certification as an OT Assistant
- Previous experience in a healthcare or clinical setting
- Knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Empathetic and patient-centered approach
- Basic understanding of medical terminology
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
