Overview
As an Orthopedic Consultant with MS/ DNB, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing, managing, and treating musculoskeletal conditions. This position is vital to the organization as you will be responsible for providing expert medical care and treatment to patients with orthopedic issues.
Key responsibilities
- Conducting regular patient consultations and medical assessments
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, MRI, and CT scans
- Developing and implementing comprehensive treatment plans for patients with orthopedic conditions
- Performing surgical procedures to treat musculoskeletal injuries and disorders
- Providing post-operative care and monitoring patients recovery progress
- Collaborating with other medical professionals, such as physiotherapists and occupational therapists, to optimize patient care
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and treatment options
- Keeping accurate and updated medical records for all patients
- Conducting research and staying abreast of advances in orthopedic medicine and surgical techniques
- Providing educational resources to patients and their families regarding orthopedic conditions and treatment options
- Adhering to ethical and legal standards in healthcare practices
- Participating in continuous professional development activities to maintain and enhance medical knowledge and skills
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
- Providing leadership and mentorship to junior medical staff and trainees
- Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree (MBBS) with MS/ DNB in Orthopedics from a recognized institution
- Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery
- Valid state medical license to practice as an Orthopedic Consultant
- Proven experience as an Orthopedic Consultant with MS/ DNB, preferably in a hospital setting
- Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of orthopedic conditions and injuries
- Proficiency in conducting surgical procedures related to orthopedic care
- Strong knowledge of medical imaging techniques and interpretation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and maintaining patient confidentiality
