Overview
The role of an Oracle PLSQL Developer is essential to our organization as they are responsible for developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining Oracle database applications. Key Responsibilities
- Designing and developing PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views
- Optimizing and tuning SQL queries and database performance
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements
- Managing and maintaining database objects, such as tables, indexes, and sequences
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation and specifications
- Participating in code reviews and providing technical feedback
- Resolving database-related production issues and implementing solutions
- Ensuring data security and integrity through proper access controls
- Implementing best practices for database development and maintenance
- Performing unit testing and troubleshooting of developed solutions
- Collaborating with DBAs to optimize database structures and configurations
- Supporting system integration and data migration activities
- Staying updated with Oracle PL/SQL advancements and best practices
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring junior developers
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Proven experience in Oracle PL/SQL development and database programming
- Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries
- Strong understanding of database design principles and normalization
- Experience with performance tuning and query optimization
- Knowledge of data integration and ETL processes
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle and agile methodologies
- Experience with code versioning tools such as Git or SVN
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Certifications in Oracle database development or administration is a plus
- Understanding of data security and compliance standards
