• Role Description:

We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Oracle database administration, particularly with Oracle 12c and 19c, and will be adept at handling advanced architectures, multi-node setups, RAC, and ASM. The candidate should be proficient in applying Grid and DB PSU patches in multi-node RAC cluster servers and installations, performing database and Grid upgrades, and handling database migrations both on-prem and in the cloud. Experience with database tuning, troubleshooting performance issues, and RMAN backup and recovery is essential.

• Key Responsibilities:

Administer Oracle databases (12c, 19c) and advanced architectures (Multi-Node, RAC, ASM).

• Apply Grid and DB PSU patches in multi-node RAC cluster servers and perform installations.

Upgrade databases and Grid from 12c to 19c on Linux/AIX platforms.

• Migrate databases on-prem and in the cloud.

Perform database tuning, troubleshoot performance issues, and handle RMAN backup and recovery.

• Setup and configure Oracle Active Dataguard for standby/DR environments.

Ensure database security and encryption, including TDE and masking.

• Automate day-to-day administration tasks using shell scripting and Oracle OEM.

Manage databases with Oracle OEM Grid control, add new targets, and perform OEM patching and upgrades.

• Configure and troubleshoot Goldengate for unidirectional and bi-directional replication, and handle data lag and sync issues.

Conduct DR drills and database restoration tests as per customer-defined processes.

• Apply system patches and perform database maintenance on ODA and Exadata.

• Essential Skills:

Extensive experience in Oracle database administration (12c, 19c).

• Proficiency in handling advanced architectures (Multi-Node, RAC, ASM).

Experience in applying Grid and DB PSU patches in multi-node RAC clusters and installations.

• Expertise in database and Grid upgrades from 12c to 19c on Linux/AIX platforms.

Skilled in database migration (on-prem and cloud).

• Strong knowledge of database tuning, performance troubleshooting, and RMAN backup and recovery.

Experience in Oracle Active Dataguard setup and configuration.

• Knowledge of database security and encryption (TDE, masking).

Proficiency in shell scripting and Oracle OEM for automation.

• Experience with Oracle OEM Grid control for database management and upgrades.

Hands-on experience with Goldengate configuration and troubleshooting.

• Ability to conduct DR drills and database restoration tests.

Experience in system patching and maintenance on ODA and Exadata.

• Desirable Skills:

Knowledge and hands-on experience with Oracle Exadata and Oracle Database Appliance (ODA).

• Experience with Azure and AWS Cloud platforms.
