Job Description:

1. Oracle RAC installation, configuration, patch application, monitoring database on Linux & Windows. Configuration, DB/ Sec patch application, monitoring database on Linux & Windows (on OS cluster as well as Oracle cluster -1node, etc.

2. Responsible for supporting the Oracle databases and ensuring their performance, availability and security in 24 X 7 environment.

3. Proactive monitoring of database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime.

4. Problem escalation to Oracle Development team and third parties as appropriate.

5. Responsible for implementation and release of database changes as required by client.

6. Performance and tuning.

7. Standby and data guard configuration and monitoring.

8. Migration and upgradation including in palce and sisde by side migration

9. Export-Import, Data pump, Rman, Backup and recovery.

10. User Management.

11. Hardening of Oracle databases.

12. OEM server configuration, application insatallation

13. Log shipping via crons fro standalone DBs

14. PostgreSQL, Vertica DB knowledge
