Role Description
This is a contract remote role for an Oracle BIP Consultant. The Oracle BIP Consultant will be responsible for enterprise project management, order management, consulting, Oracle applications, and business process. The consultant will collaborate with teams to provide expertise in Oracle BIP and contribute to the successful implementation and optimization of Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop custom reports and dashboards using Oracle BI Publisher.
- Gather and analyze business requirements to translate them into technical specifications.
- Develop complex data models and write SQL queries for data extraction.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to understand reporting needs and deliver solutions.
- Optimize and troubleshoot existing BI Publisher reports to ensure performance and accuracy.
- Provide support and maintenance for BI Publisher applications and reports.
- Conduct training sessions for end-users and technical teams on BI Publisher functionalities.
- Stay updated with the latest Oracle BI Publisher features and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Oracle BI Publisher Consultant or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Oracle BI Publisher, including template creation, data models, and report layouts.
- Expertise in SQL and PL/SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Familiarity with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), Oracle Cloud, or other Oracle applications.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Oracle BIP certification.
- Experience with other Oracle BI tools such as OBIEE, OTBI, or Oracle Analytics Cloud.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Experience in performance tuning of BI reports.
