Your Job

DBA would report to the DB Services Manager and will be responsible for supporting a portfolio of managed database systems. DBA will work closely with the customer, owning the database services relationship between that customer and Koch Business Solutions. DBA will also develop solutions and services catering to specific business issues as well as resolve database-related incidents. DBA shall have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and shall exhibit strong teamwork and organization skills. DBA will be expected to treat customer needs as a shared responsibility, rather than individual requests and needs

Our Team

We are looking for an Oracle Apps DBA who is eager to contribute to the success of a diverse team. The DBA will be part of an international team, providing database management and hosting services to various Koch Industries companies. This role will be customer-facing, and acta as the primary point of contact for one of Koch Business Solutionsu2019 customers. Koch Industries is a privately held global organization with over 120,000 employees around the world, with subsidiaries involved in manufacturing, trading, and investments. Koch Technology Center (KTC) is being developed in India to extend its IT operations, as well as act as a hub for innovation in the IT function. As KTC rapidly scales up its operations in India, itu2019s employees will get opportunities to carve out a career path for themselves within the organization. This role will have the opportunity to play a critical part in helping continue strengthen the capabilities and technical offerings of the Koch Technology Center (KTC). Working closely with global colleagues would provide significant international exposure to the employees

What You Will Do

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 Using your creativity and experience to develop and maintain innovative services in support of a growing portfolio of managed database systems.

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 Providing tactical and strategic solutions to solve specific business problems by working closely with customers and other DBAs.

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 Lending your database expertise to ongoing development projects across Koch companies.

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 Resolving database-related incidents and service requests within SLAs.xa0Communicate directly with customer database stakeholders.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 Bacheloru2019s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Electronics.

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 3+ years of hands as an Oracle Apps database.

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 3 yearsu2019 experience supporting Oracle E-Business Suite as a Database Administrator.

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 3 yearsu2019 experience installing Oracle E-Business patches/upgrades for both application and database tier, including Oracle RDBMS patching.

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 3 yearsu2019 experience installing Oracle and maintaining Oracle databases for non-Oracle applications.

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 3 yearsu2019 experience managing Oracle databases with Oracle Automatic Storage Management including set up and maintenance of volumes on Linux.

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 3 yearsu2019 experience creating and managing physical Oracle backups, restores and cloning through building and executing RMAN scripts.

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 3 yearsu2019 experience monitoring database activity and tuning Oracle database queries using Oracle Enterprise Manager.

xb7xa0 xa0 xa0xa03 yearsu2019 experience installation and administration of Oracle Fusion Middleware (WebLogic, SOA and ADF).xa0

xa0 xa0 xa0Experience setting up and maintaining production Oracle databases on AWS Cloud EC2 and RDS

What Will Put You Ahead

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 Experience with:

oxa0xa0xa0 Any major cloud service provider (AWS, Azure, Oracle)

oxa0xa0xa0 Databases in Docker, AWS ECS containers, Kubernetes Clusters.

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 Expertise in automation using ansible and shell.

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 Familiarity with AWS components including EC2, S3, EBS.

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 Solid experience in troubleshooting Oracle EBS application and databases

xb7xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 Any other Database hand on experience.xa0xa0Good experience in patching, migration and upgrade projects
