ORACLE APPS DBA JD





  • Good experience in cloning/database refreshes (ERP and NON-ERP)
  • Troubleshooting Apps DBA activities
  • Experience on EBS DBA Sysadmin activities
  • Backup and Recovery (RMAN and hot backup)
  • Hands on experience on Oracle Application patches and DB patches
  • Must have work on Schema Migration
  • Export and Import (Schema, Tablespace and Table Export), data pump
  • Setup and Implementation and troubleshooting of RAC Database is required.
  • Oracle Application DBA (R12.1,12.2 ) experience is required.
  • Data Guard setup and configuration, troubleshooting Knowledge
  • Experience in Database Upgrade such as 18C/19C Upgrade.
  • Experience on EBS application upgrade to 12.2.X
  • knowledge in EM related tasks such as DB discovery agent installation is required
  • Must performed New Database Build along with EBS application setup.
  • Experience in Database and application Migration
  • Experience in setting up external node along with reverse proxy setup.
  • Basic Unix/Linux knowledge is required
  • Good to have shell / pearl scripting knowledge
  • Good to have experience on Oracle Exadata, PCA etc
  • Good to have experience on Ansible, Puppet, Terraform
  • Experience in monitoring and troubleshooting DR support activities
  • Participate on yearly DR drill for EBS
  • EBS application and database platform migration .

Overview

The Oracle Apps DBA/ERP Admin plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining the Oracle E-Business Suite and associated applications to ensure seamless functionality for the organization. They are responsible for the administration, configuration, and support of Oracle Applications and associated technologies, contributing to the overall performance and reliability of the ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain Oracle E-Business Suite applications and associated technologies.
  • Monitor system performance and conduct performance tuning activities to optimize the ERP system.
  • Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Oracle Applications and database-related issues.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to system configuration, processes, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of the ERP system.
  • Manage user access, security, and permissions within the Oracle Applications environment.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with best practices and security standards.
  • Participate in on-call support and incident management activities as needed.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and recommendation of new technologies and tools to enhance ERP functionality.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in Oracle technologies and best practices.
  • Provide training and guidance to end users and fellow team members.
  • Collaborate with vendor support and other IT staff to resolve technical issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as an Oracle Apps DBA or ERP Administrator.
  • Proficiency in Oracle E-Business Suite R12 and 11i administration and maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle database architecture, SQL, and PL/SQL.
  • Experience with Oracle Application Server, WebLogic Server, and Fusion Middleware.
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager and performance tuning tools.
  • Experience in Linux/UNIX system administration related to Oracle Applications.
  • Solid understanding of backup and recovery methodologies for Oracle Applications.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly.
  • Certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Expert (OCE) are preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience with version control systems and deployment tools is a plus.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and best practices is desirable.
  • Ability to adapt to changing technologies and learn new skills as needed.
