Oracle Apps DBA with experience between 6 to 8 years
Responsibilities:
Lead the upgrade and migration process of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) to the latest version on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders to ensure successful planning and execution of the upgrade and migration project.
Conduct a thorough assessment of the current EBS environment and develop a detailed upgrade and migration strategy.
Perform pre-upgrade tasks such as database health checks, patching, and compatibility assessments to ensure a smooth transition.
Configure and optimize OCI infrastructure components such as compute instances, storage, networking, and security for hosting EBS.
Implement Oracle EBS upgrades, applying necessary patches, fixes, and updates in accordance with Oracle's best practices and guidelines.
Ensure data integrity and consistency throughout the migration process, conducting validation tests and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
Document all upgrade and migration procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for future reference and knowledge sharing.
Provide post-migration support and assistance to users, addressing any performance issues, system errors, or configuration issues that may arise.
Proactively monitor the upgraded EBS environment on OCI, identifying and resolving any performance bottlenecks or security vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with Oracle Support as needed to troubleshoot complex technical issues and escalate critical problems.
Requirements:
Proven experience in leading and executing EBS upgrade and migration projects, preferably to OCI.
In-depth knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite architecture, components, and modules.
Hands-on experience with Oracle EBS migration, installation, configuration, and administration.
Strong experience in EBS application and database upgrade to latest version 12.2. with 19C database
Proficiency in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services and components, with experience in deploying and managing EBS on OCI.
Strong understanding of database performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization techniques.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Oracle certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Expert (OCE) in Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle Database are a plus.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to learn new technologies and stay updated with the latest trends in Oracle E-Business Suite and cloud computing.
