Job Title: Optometrist/Optometric Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Optometrist or Optometric Technician to join our team! As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for conducting eye exams to determine prescriptions for glasses and contact lenses, as well as selling spectacles and other vision correction products. As an Optometric Technician, you will assist the Optometrist with exams, take measurements, prepare patients for exams, and assist with sales of spectacles and other products.

Responsibilities:

Optometrist:

- Conduct eye exams to determine prescriptions for glasses and contact lenses

- Prescribe glasses and contact lenses as needed

- Maintain accurate records and communicate with patients and staff

- Sell spectacles, contact lenses, and other vision correction products to patients

- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in eyewear

Optometric Technician:

- Assist Optometrist with exams and procedures

- Take measurements and prepare patients for exams

- Maintain equipment and supplies

- Provide exceptional patient care and customer service

- Assist with sales of spectacles, contact lenses, and other vision correction products

- Help patients select frames and lenses that meet their needs and preferences

- Process sales transactions and maintain accurate records

Requirements:

Optometrist:

- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree

- State license to practice optometry

- 1-2 years of experience (depending on the position)

Optometric Technician:

- Associate's degree or certification in optometric technology

- 1-2 years of experience (depending on the position)

- Certified Optometric Technician (COT) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) certification

Skills:

- Excellent communication and patient care skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Ability to work well in a team environment

- Basic math skills and accuracy with sales transactions

- Knowledge of eyewear and eye care products (or willingness to learn)
